With three decades as a designer, Esther is best known for her unique carpet, rug and fabric designs. Used extensively in hotels, resorts, and residences throughout the world she also has a number of licensing agreements, including some with Fortune 500 companies.
She grew up in Asia, Africa, and Los Angeles, with Europe as a constant, which greatly influenced her color sense and global design perspective.
Esther lives with her husband and 14 year-old twins in the California Wine Country and their 19th-century farmhouse in Upstate New York.
She enjoys the inspiration that travel and different environments provide.
The Global Design Post, from its inception to today, is the most exciting project to date, as it has combined her love and knowledge of design with the excitement of partnering with the deep talent found amongst her family, friends and fellow designers.
Diana Dunbar Place

Thirty years of experience in advertising and marketing and latest as Senior Vice President of Interactive Marketing for America Online in the dot.com era of amazing growth, paved the way to create The Global Design Post (GDP) with her cousin Esther. Diana's love of design is fed by her life-long creative passions; painting, photography and like most "design-junkies", making her home a haven. In the few years after leaving AOL, she focused (pardon the pun) on her photography business, Wonder Blink Photography. She lives outside of Boston, in a beautiful town in New Hampshire, with her office in a renovated, 18th century carriage house. Her husband and 15 year-old daughter have been patient and supportive as she has worked day and night to make GPD a reality.

As the President of Dunbar & Cullum, Inc. for the past 20 years, Peter has had considerable experience negotiating and managing Intellectual Property and licensing contracts within the Design industry. Formerly, he held senior sales, marketing and executive management positions with major hospitality manufacturers of interior design products.
Born and raised in England, he has traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as North & South America, the Caribbean, and the South Pacific.
Particularly interesting to him, however, has been sailboat racing, trans-ocean voyaging, and his formative years as a boat captain!
He might be color-blind, and otherwise content to roam the tropics living on a sailboat, but he loves his wife and shares her passion for design, so lending his business experience to the Global Design Post is exciting and exceedingly helpful.
It also allows him to snow ski and water ski- not so easy to pull off living on a sailboat!
Lisa Van Eyssen

Lisa Van Eyssen is an independent documentary producer/writer of
nonfiction programming for several networks including A&E Biography, the
History Channel, BRAVO, and TruTV. She serves on outreach campaign teams
for social advocacy films such as Unlikely Friends (Investigation
Discovery) and the Emmy nominated Brave Miss World (Netflix). With a
passionate interest in the culinary world, she has been a contributing
reviewer for the Santa Monica restaurant section of Examiner.com. Now with
the opportunity to join the GDP team, Van Eyssen can release her inner
Design junkie and pursue the stories that surround some of the most
and architecture around the world.

Laith is a full stack web developer with 15 years of web technology experience, encompassing a wide variety of areas including development, design, server administration, programming, web hosting and project management. He believes site usability, esthetics and user experience are the most important elements for any website. After working for various startup companies at the beginning of his career, Laith started his own web development firm Sinawi Web Design, where he can be an active partner in the process of bringing ideas to life. Laith became interested in computers while in college, leading to a BS in Computer Science from San Francisco State University.

Nancy Dunn is a marketing, business development and operations executive with over 20 years experience in the digital media and technology sectors. Nancy has spent her entire career at the intersection of technology and business innovation. She has held senior positions at Time Inc., AOL, and Nielsen developing and bringing new products and businesses to market. In addition, she has successfully launched two media and technology start-ups. She has a passion for art and design, and has enjoyed collaborating with the team to launch The Global Design Post.

Morgan has over 20 years of experience as a technical architect and developer of interactive websites and applications with database connectivity. Since founding his technical consulting practice, subConcious Technologies, 15 years ago, Morgan has had proven success in developing mission critical, custom sites and tools with a focus on database design, usability and performance as well as adaptability for future needs. Prior to starting his own firm, Morgan served as Director of Products and Solutions at Interactive One and as a Director, Project Management at AOL where he lead a team to manage the product direction and roadmap of 17+ sites in the AOL Living portfolio including AOL Health, AOL Food, Stylelist and AOL Home.

Communication is borne out in the work graphic designer Isabelle delivers on a daily basis. She considers herself more than just an expert in graphic design, but as a key component in the entire process of a project, from the conception to the execution and completion of the design. “I have a fire for what I do,” she says. Formerly a creative director with Communication Soleil for 10 years, Isabelle is now the president of Leitmotiv Design Communication, Inc., a company offering design and marketing tools. Isabelle has won more than 50 design and marketing awards during her 25 year+ career. Additionally, she has been featured in Print Magazine and Applied Art Magazine. She is constantly motivated when presented with a new idea, or a task that seems impossible to others — she views a challenge as just that, something she needs to conquer.
