House And Home- Ireland

Simplicity, whimsy and color.

Orla Keily's London home is exactly what you would expect from the Irish designer and her iconic, joyful patterns.

We have all seen her work- it strikes the perfect chord for those who want simplicity, but not for it to be stern or sterile.

She loves color and uses it with such strength that you can look at her designs and say, "that is exactly what was needed"- no more, no less.

Check out the coral/orange paint that runs up the center of her staircase. It is practical and indulgent at the same time and we loved it.

Click the link to the Irish magazine, House and Home (via the above coral link), to see her entire home.

We have also include a picture of her New York store (photographed by Geoff Searle) to show you her beautiful, bold use of scale in her charming work, as well as two details of her textile patterns.
