"Abigail Ahern isn’t afraid of embracing her dark side. Although the British interior, furniture and accessories designer once revelled in a pale Scandi palette, there is no remaining evidence of this in the four-storey 1860s East London terrace house she shares with her husband, Graham Scott. “I’d grown bored with white walls,” she says. “So one day I experimented with painting a dark colour in a small alcove. I was amazed by how it transformed the way a little table with a vase on top really popped out against it. I decided to paint the whole room, and then another, until I’d painted the whole lot.” Read more ...
